COURSE LAYOUT + TENTATIVE SCHEDULE (subject to change):

The program will consist of morning lectures and informal evening discussions to frame excursions out into the city, which will include faculty-lead tours and field lectures about specific buildings. Significant time will be spent observing, analyzing and drawing buildings to engage drawing as an analytic tool. We will tour a wide range of architectural offices in the city to provide an opportunity to interact directly with practitioners. The program will also include excursions to local festivals, restaurants, farmer’s markets and/or music events (to be determined) as a way to actively experience some of the city’s best buildings and public spaces. Class time may vary depending on the day’s activities.

The program will conclude in Baton Rouge on the LSU campus.  Four to five days will be spent constructing an analytique of a building in Chicago of the students' choosing.
